What should you pay attention to?
A change from the normal behavior of a particular cow may be disturbing:

- less rumination,
- lethargy,
- change in stool consistency,
- less interest in feed after calving.
A decrease in appetite isn't a disease in itself. It's a sign that your pet needs a closer look.

The transition period, spanning approximately three weeks before and after calving, is particularly demanding for the cow. During this time, nutrient requirements increase rapidly, while dry matter intake may decline.
