Milk prices in the EU – February 2026

📉 Milk prices in the European Union remain in a downward trend, although the pace of decline is starting to stabilize.
In January 2026, the average milk price in the EU was approx. 47.31 €/100 kg, while at the beginning of 2025 it was 53,71 €/100 kg.

Poland compared to the EU

The milk price in Poland is currently approx. 43.86 €/100 kg, which means a level slightly below the EU average.. Poland is in the group of countries with medium milk prices – similar to Germany or Ireland.

📊 Key market observations:

  • The highest milk prices persist in southern and island countries, such as Cyprus, Malta, and Greece.
  • Central Europe, including Poland, remains close to the EU average.
  • The lowest milk prices are recorded by the Baltic countries, where they fall even below 40 €/100 kg.

🐄 What does this mean for Polish farmers?

After a very good period in 2024 and at the beginning of 2025, the milk market in Europe is entering a phase of price correction. Despite the declines, prices are still relatively good compared to multi-year averages.

In the coming months, the key factors impacting the market will be:

  • the level of milk production in the EU,
  • feed and energy costs,
  • the situation on the global dairy products market.
